Freedom Boxes on Sky News
Watch one of our founders commenting on Freedom Boxes on UK's leading news channel.
We are a Czech-based software company headquartered in Central Europe for more than two decades. Our company is formed of likeminded people from the UK and across the region, including Russians and Ukrainians, and we have pulled together to prepare, pack and deliver Freedom Boxes to those in need. It breaks our hearts to see the events unfolding in Ukraine; this is our way of helping Ukrainians in their noble struggle, and to deliver help & provide hope where it is needed most.
Discover the boxes we offer below, choose how many you would like to send, and we will get them to those who need them ASAP. Deliveries are taking place on Tuesday from our base in Prague and will arrive in Ukraine by Friday.
Help families displaced by the fighting who are in desperate need of basic supplies to survive.
Make Ukrainian children smile with some presents just for them.
Give Ukraine’s children somewhere to sleep while they recover.
Our international, Prague-based technology company, Zenoo, is privileged to employ technicians from many Eastern European countries, including Ukraine and Russia.During this time of conflict, which is affecting many of our staff, we regard it as our duty to use our skills, contacts, and energy to develop and implement a service to provide essentials to the conflict-affect Ukrainian population.
To this end, we now have in place a supply chain process that receives requests from our volunteers, mainly women, in Ukraine, and then sources essential goods from Czech Republic. Items are packaged and delivered by Zenoo to the Ukraine/Poland border, where we hand over the materials to volunteers in Ukraine for distribution. We greatly admire and respect what our Ukrainian volunteers are risking to ensure the delivery of these essential items, and we hope for a swift and peaceful end to this fighting.
To compensate for Ukrainians’ changing needs, we have developed a “shopping list” that we complete according to priorities communicated by our volunteer coordinators. Based on this needs assessment, we purchase requested items in bulk and then separate and package items into Freedom Boxes separated by type: Family, Defender, Sleep, Kids, and Children’s Hospital. Additionally, we are working with children around the world to create goodwill drawings, pictures, and messages that are added to each box.
The completed boxes are sealed and then loaded onto loaned transport vans and delivered to a place on the Ukraine border at a time that is convenient for our Ukraine-based volunteers. These volunteers have the dangerous task of delivering the material onward within Ukraine to those in need.
Each positive note and Freedom Box is individually registered so that the journey and destination can be recorded. We track deliveries to ensure arrival and to strengthen our processes.
This is a long-term initiative to support the Ukrainian people and we guarantee that 100% will be used to keep the service in operation. All costs will be recorded, and all amounts will be made public. We intend to provide a live summary of Freedom Box journeys, and will report any positive feedback received on the Freedom Box website.
Our initial priority is to use our personal contacts to get the Freedom Box service operational. We have access to digital verification systems that can protect against potential fraud attempts. We will also work with various authorities to utilise our recognition systems to facilitate priority processing.
